Plenty of love at an anti-Valentine’s Day benefit

Allyson from the newly-accepted and interestingly-named organization F*It Club sent over photos from a benefit a few weeks ago, entitled F Love: An (Anti) Valentine’s Day Party. During their very first trip to the warehouse, the group was able to find paper, trim, fabric, and many costumes. The white coats the guests used as smocks come from MFTA, and it’s great to see them used so soon after the group took them. And what does the group do aside from host benefits with finger painting? According to their Facebook page:

Our film and theatre production company was founded with the goal to provide access and opportunity. We say “f* it” to waiting for opportunity to knock. We are seizing opportunity and making it ours. We want to make work and we want to make it NOW.

I can definitely appreciate this ethos, and judging from their numerous awards, they seem like they’re sticking to their mission. I hope to see more of their work (and smiling faces) in the future.
