Therapeutic decorations in the South Bronx

Mildred from the South Bronx Mental Health Council sent over photos of holiday projects done by the patients and the community. The projects were created with donations from the warehouse including vases, ribbons, flowers, and ornaments. In Mildred’s own words, “the project activity not only decorated and provided a joyful environment, but contributed to a healthy therapeutic activity and patients had something to take home at no cost to them.” I’m glad we were able to provide materials for patients to make something so beautiful. They even remind me of the centerpieces made for last year’s Interfaith Breakfast. The addition of non-traditional items really make the pieces stand out.
