This Election Day join Materials for the Arts to learn art projects that link the elementary math Common Core standards and art. Teaching artists Joy Suarez and John Kaiser will show teachers and school staff free or low-cost art projects including Weavings, Board Games, Math Materials (counting sticks, manipulatives) and Mosaics, which can be used to reach different types of learners in math. Participants will have plenty of studio time to develop projects suited for their specific instructional settings and everyone will leave with prototypes for use in the classroom.
