Kind words from The Graying of AIDS

Naomi Schegloff sent over some pictures from The Graying of AIDS installation that was part of the Governors Island Art Fair. The fair closed this past weekend, and it was a great experience for Naomi. In her own words:

Our installation never could have happened without the generous support of MFTA. Over the course of the month-long exhibition, our installation inspired many valuable conversations with visitors, including personal reflections on living with HIV/AIDS today, the loss of loved ones in the past, and how to stay healthy in the future.

Knowing a few young people who are HIV positive, it warms my heart knowing our work can enable such great moments. As I’ve said before, reuse art, like all art, is as important as it is powerful.
