Michael DiPietro of Culture Push sent the above images from last year’s Fashion Re/Action Festival, a workshop series that “aims to give beginners and professionals alike a platform from which to playfully re/design and re/imagine what can be done with discarded materials.” It was so successful they are doing it all again! All of the workshops are entirely free, and take place every Saturday from 1pm to 5pm from now until October 22nd. Classes have names such as Wearable Sculpture and Clothing Remake Marathon! so they’re sure to be lots of fun. For information on specific classes, visit their website.  Still unconvinced? Look at more pictures from last year’s series.

Michael has also started a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to pay the teaching artists. There are some sweet rewards made with reused materials, so check it out.
