YUM! Creative reuse for food scraps

Composting is the process of creating the ideal conditions for the rapid decomposition of organic materials (Image: Flickr user morganthemoth)

In the spirit of not letting useful materials go to waste, Materials for the Arts will welcome Gina from Queens Botanical Garden for a composting demonstration during Monday’s shopping. QBG runs tons of composting programs–for gardeners, teachers, and the general public–and we are excited for them to share their knowledge with MFTA’s recipients and staff. There are still a few appointments left for evening shopping this Monday, September 12, 2011. Remember, you must have an appointment to shop at MFTA.
