There are some wonderful folks in Philadelphia who are trying to expand their not-for-profit reuse center for use by the general public and they need our help! The objectives of The Resource Exchange are to keep items out of landfills, support creative reuse, and increase the awareness of the economic, social, and environmental impact of reuse. Last year alone, they diverted over 600 tons of materials away from landfills. If you’re reading this blog, chances are you find this to be pretty rad, and are wondering how you can help. They are currently in the Refresh Everything competition, and you can vote for them every day so they can win the $50,000 needed to open their operations to the public.
Imagine if there were a Materials for the Arts in every city. What a wonderful world that would be. Let’s make it happen.
