Warehouse update: Prep for Masked Marvelous Party

Volunteers from Not-for-Profit Pictures hang lights in the warehouse

The MFTA staff has been hard at work prepping for tomorrow’s Masked Marvelous Cocktail Party.  The party kicks off Tuesday evening at 6pm and lasts until 9 pm.  Tickets are $25 for MFTA members and $60 for non-members, all proceeds from the party benefit Friends of Materials for the Arts.  It’s not too late to RSVP to jmetro [at] mfta [dot] nyc [dot] gov or you can get your tickets at the door tomorrow.

Regular visitors to the warehouse will be impressed by the transformation.  The grassy lounge area pictured above is just one of the comfortable nooks available for partygoers’ comfort as they sip beer compliments of Magic Hat and enjoy food provided by BCA catering.  Staff and volunteers have also put together a music room, a stage, a mask-making area as well as a number of bars.

Partygoers can entertain their friends at the music stations

Of course this is a masquerade ball and MFTA is providing guests with plenty of materials to create fabulous masks for yourself and your family.
