Second graders from PS 129 in Queens visited the MFTA classrooms today and made some great reuse creatures! Check out these fantastical bugs! MFTA teaching artists Emelia Hiltner and Susan Springer Anderson led the class in a discussion about reuse and how all the items the kids used in their projects could have ended up in the trash. Luckily the donors saw the value their items still possessed and sent them to MFTA. In turn this group of students then got to have an hour of complete art making.
