MFTA teaching artists connected with the Brooklyn Botanic’s Sakuri Matsuri festival this past weekend to make faux flowers. Guests at this Make ’n Take created cherry blossom pom-pom flowers from spools of thread and petal flowers from plastic bags, fabric and buttons. The artists take the message of creative reuse all around the city to different events inspiring participants to unlock the hidden potential of these ho-hum donations.
