If you have a free moment (and a large collection of cans) we encourage you to consider helping out The Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) – a member group who is undoubtedly trying to better the world in some way, shape or form with this new project
I think I’m picking up a six pack of club soda on the way home !
We’re doing a project on visualizing data with a group of 11th graders from the Academy of Urban Planning in Bushwick and could really use some help sourcing props for our project. Students will be making charts and graphs about the proposed soda tax, and we need some cans of soda for them to incorporate into their charts. We would need someone well-connected in the world of recycling, or maybe just someone with friends in a supermarket, or someone with friends who collect cans. We’d also need the cans to be prepped for use by the students (washed out, possibly painted). We have a budget to pay the supermarket or recycler in exchange for their cans.
We’d need the cans in the next two weeks. Please let me know if you
“can” help us out!
All the best,
