Eva Radke, founder of Film Biz Recycling has been selling Christmas decorations from TV commercials at absurdly low prices out of her warehouse, also here in LIC! Film Biz Recycling started just last year, but they are already making quite a splash in the reuse/recycling community. They primarily pick up sets and props from film shoots, and either donate them to charities (including yours truly, Materials for the Arts) or resell them for cheap, benefiting countless theater and performing arts groups that could not otherwise afford these coveted pieces.
